After the August “Ferragosto” holiday, we are back on site to complete the wooden house in Umbria, on the hills near Umbertide. This building has a 14cm. thick insulation (ecological wood fiber panels) on the roof as well as a ventilated chamber below the roof tiles: this provides energy-saving and comfort,¬†both in winter and summer. The walls are also insulated with 2 wood fiber panels (cm.6+4) on the external side: they will be eventually plastered and painted. The house will be a warm ‘nest’ during the long, cold umbrian winter and a cool retreat from the scorching heat of the summer.
